Vatti a fidare 
Siamo in periodo da vaccino antinfluenzale. Pare che quest’anno l’influenza “sia tanto brutta”, almeno così si dice in giro. Il Ministero ha già preso tutte le misure che ha ritenuto opportune e consiglia il vaccino a tutti quelli che se lo possono permettere: non solo lo passa gratuitamente ad una quantità impressionante di categorie, ma lo consiglia anche a tutti gli altri. I medici di famiglia fanno altrettanto. I telegiornali martellano ossessivamente in tal senso.
Anch’io mi sono posto il problema: sarà il caso di vaccinarsi o no?
Quest'anno ho un motivo speciale per pormi questa domanda.
Fra l’altro, pur non facendo parte delle categorie indicate dal ministero, fortuna vuole che io possa vaccinarmi senza spese. Allora per quale motivo traccheggio? Lo consigliano tutti ed è pure gratis…
Il problema è che io sono per vocazione un bastian contrario. Se c’è una cosa che piace a tutti, a me difficilmente piacerà. Se c’è una cosa che tutti fanno, difficilmente avrò voglia di farla anch’io.
Un altro problema è che sono anche un gran malfidato, un “santommaso”, uno che non si lascia convincere facilmente.

Ed il mondo dei medicinali, pur essendo un caso esemplare, non è certo l’unico. Anzi, è vero proprio il contrario: ormai su qualsiasi argomento si sono formate scuole di pensiero contrapposte che con la stessa forza e la stessa convinzione sostengono le proprie “verità inconfutabili”, ma che si contraddicono vicendevolmente.
Come fanno ad avere ragione tutti quanti? Qualcuno per forza ci sta propinando robaccia, ma chi?

Ma per tornare al punto di partenza, il vaccino antinfluenzale fa bene o fa male?
A questo punto qualche persona ragionevole potrebbe dirmi che la verità sta in the middle, the world is not black and white but has many colors and shades. Yes, ok, I think so too, but one has to decide somehow, right?
